Anita`s Journey
Growing up in Budapest, Hungary, Anita found that fresh, local produce were always at her fingertips. Daily walks to the food store for fresh milk, bread and greens were a routine. She felt vibrant and healthy. At the age of twenty-three, when she moved to the US., Anita was mesmerized by the variety and abundance of packaged food. She quickly put on twelve pounds and started to feel less vibrant and healthy.
“Eat food. Not too much. Mostly Plants.” This statement is Anita`s favorite from Michael Pollan.
If only it was this simple. The reason why not: because there in “no one diet fits all” . When it comes to food we are bio-individuals, meaning that the same food might have a totally different effect on different body types. Anita believed, while going to college and then working, that she had a healthy diet. She cooked dinners and ate out occasionally. It didn't register in her mind until she was expecting her first child, the tremendous importance of the effect of food on her body. From then on eating healthy, doing research on wellness and keeping up to date on studies about food became her passion. This passion turned into her profession later on.

Testimonials
"Having developed some medical issues, I felt it was time to work with a nutritionist to make sure that my eating habits were as strong as they could be. I have found Ms. Vasko very easy to work with and she is very responsive to emails. To her credit, she does not follow the official Dietary Guidelines for Americans, which are, quite frankly, inadequate, misguided, and do not put one on a path to optimal health. Instead, she tailors her nutritional recommendations to one's specific situation. I was impressed with how much research she conducted regarding my specific medical issues to make sure that she was offering the correct advice. I would highly recommend her to someone who is truly interested in obtaining optimal health."
Lisa K. "Anita customized a healthy diet specifically designed for me, and with moderate increase in daily activity I was able to lose 30lbs and keep it off. No counting calories and bland foods either. I would highly recommend her services.” Joe G. |
"Anita has been very helpful in starting my weight loss journey. She supplied me with multiple resources that will help me to succeed. She was also kind enough to come to my house for a free consultation. She doesn't pressure you to work with her. And she has been readily available by phone, email, or in person to help me with any questions I might have. Thank you Anita!”
Brittany H. "I have known Anita as a professional partner and friend. There are many nutritionists and Anita differentiates herself in her personal and comprehensive approach. She seeks to understand the whole person prior to thinking about solutions. This way, her recommendations not only achieve your goals, but it is accomplished in such a way that works for you, as an individual. She has compassion and cares about every client. I highly recommend Anita.” Erin S. |
